The Greenpoint Community Environmental Fund (GCEF) was created in 2011 by the New York State Attorney General’s Office (AGO) and Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) from funding obtained by the State in a settlement with ExxonMobil over its Greenpoint oil spill. MUD Workshop was invited to create an outreach platform and information system that would organize all information on the program since its inception and serve as a two-way communication portal between the community and State agencies.
MUD Workshop has designed and organized volumes of information into a readily accessible digital graphic timeline which also serves as a repository of all public data and documents associated with the program. The website has been received by the Greenpoint neighborhood and Client as a seamless interface to get / provide up to date information on project developments and the processes by which funds are allocated.
